12-18 months         5-20 words

19-24 months       150-300 words

25-36 months      approx. 900 words

2. I can’t understand my child!

How Well Words Should be Understood by Parents

By 18 months a child should be 25% intelligible

By 24 months a child should be 50-75% intelligible

By 36 months a child should be 75-100% intelligible
